I migranti negli Stati Uniti hanno a disposizione diversi modi per ottenere uno status legale e poter lavorare nel Paese: il programma di ricongiungimento familiare, l’immigrazione attraverso un’offerta di lavoro, la richiesta di asilo e la cosiddetta green card lottery o visto diversity.
Il Diversity Immigrant Visa Program -Green Card Lottery- è un modo per i cittadini stranieri di ottenere la residenza negli Stati Uniti.
Il governo statunitense sorteggia ogni anno 50.000 Green Card per dare alle persone la possibilità di immigrare negli Stati Uniti, diventare residenti e lavorare nel Paese.
La lotteria è gratuita e il periodo di registrazione è normalmente tra Ottobre e Novembre di ogni anno.
La registrazione per la lotteria dei visti 2025 è iniziata il 4 Ottobre e terminerà il 7 Novembre 2023. I richiedenti devono registrarsi sul sito ufficiale del Dipartimento di Stato per partecipare alla lotteria per ottenere fino a 55.000 visti per motivi di diversità o umanitari.
Questo programma è stato creato con l’Immigration Act del 1996 e il suo obiettivo principale è quello di promuovere la diversificazione degli immigrati negli Stati Uniti.
Come iscriversi alla lotteria green card 2025?
I partecipanti devono registrarsi sul sito web del Dipartimento di Stato, incaricato di condurre la lotteria. La registrazione online è gratuita attraverso il sito ufficiale https://dvprogram.state.gov/.
Al termine della registrazione verrà visualizzata una schermata di conferma con il proprio numero completo e un numero di conferma unico.
I requisiti per la registrazione
- Essere nativo di un Paese che si qualifica.
- Avere almeno un diploma di scuola superiore o due anni di esperienza lavorativa (negli ultimi cinque anni) in un campo di lavoro che richiede due anni di formazione (secondo la definizione del Dipartimento del Lavoro degli Stati Uniti).

- I partecipanti potranno controllare lo stato della loro registrazione e verificare se sono stati selezionati o meno a partire dal 4 maggio 2024 sul sito state.gov.
Coloro che saranno selezionati per iniziare il processo dovranno presentare i moduli di immigrazione richiesti dall’USCIS e presentarsi per un colloquio presso l’ambasciata più vicina al loro luogo di residenza.
Quali Paesi non possono partecipare alla lotteria DV-25?
Nel sito del governo americano sono citati i Paesi NON qualificati alla partecipazione della Green Card Lottery. Non potranno quindi presentare richiesta i cittadini dei seguenti Paesi: Bangladesh, Brasile, Canada, Cina, Colombia, Repubblica Dominicana, El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, India, Giamaica, Messico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Filippine, Corea del Sud, Regno Unito (eccetto Irlanda del Nord), Venezuela, Vietnam.

U.S. GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES THE OPENING OF ITS DIVERSITY IMMIGRANT VISA PROGRAM 2025 (DV-2025) or GREEN CARD LOTTERY
Immigrants in the United States have several ways to obtain legal status and be able to work in the country, such as the family reunification program, immigration through a job offer, by requesting asylum and the so-called visa lottery or diversity visa.
The Diversity Immigrant Visa Program is a way for foreign nationals to obtain residency in the United States.
The U.S. government raffles 50,000 Green Cards each year so that people have the possibility to immigrate to the U.S., become residents and work in the country.
The lottery is free, and the registration period is normally between October and November every year.
Registration for the 2025 visa lottery begins on October 4 and will end on November 7, 2023. Applicants must register on the State Department’s official website to participate in the lottery for up to 55,000 diversity or humanitarian visas.
This program was created with the Immigration Act of 1996 and its main objective is to promote the diversification of immigrants in the United States.
How to register for the 2025 visa lottery?
Participants must register on the Department of State’s website, which is in charge of conducting this lottery.
The electronic registration is free through the official website https://dvprogram.state.gov/. At the end of your registration, you will see a confirmation screen with your complete number and a unique confirmation number.
The requirements for registration are as follows:
- Be a native of a qualifying country.
- Have at least a completed high school education or two years of work experience (within the last five years) in an area of work that requires two years of training (as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor).

- Participants will be able to check their enrollment status and verify whether or not they have been selected beginning May 4, 2024 at state.gov.
Those who are selected to begin the process must submit the immigration forms required by USCIS and appear for an interview at the embassy nearest their place of residence.

- Los participantes podrán verificar el estado de su inscripción y corroborar si han sido seleccionados o no, a partir del 4 de mayo de 2024 en dvprogram.state.gov.
Aquellos que resulten elegidos para poder inicia el trámite, deberán presentar los formularios de inmigración requeridos por USCIS, y presentarse a una entrevista en la embajada más cercana a su lugar de residencia.
