Si è svolta oggi presso il Centro Tecnico Federale della FIGC a Coverciano la conferenza stampa di lancio dell’accordo fra ITA Airways e Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio.
Fabio Lazzerini Amministratore Delegato di ITA Airways e Gabriele Gravina, Presidente della FIGC, hanno illustrato alla stampa le iniziative concordate all’interno di un importante accordo che vede ITA Airways e FIGC unite da oggi fino al 31 dicembre 2024. Presente alla conferenza stampa anche il CT della Nazionale italiana Roberto Mancini.
Alla base della collaborazione tra ITA Airways e FIGC c’è la volontà comune di sviluppare e promuovere lo sport italiano nel mondo. Per fare questo, ITA Airways sarà il vettore ufficiale delle Nazionali italiane di calcio, occupandosi, in questi due anni, di tutte le trasferte aeree. In base all’accordo, tutte le Nazionali, maschili, femminili, giovanili, futsal, beach soccer e esport saranno a bordo di ITA Airways per raggiungere le sedi di gara delle competizioni internazionali alle quali le Squadre Azzurre prenderanno parte. Oltre a loro, anche l’Associazione Italiana Arbitri, il Settore Tecnico e il Settore Giovanile e Scolastico saranno tra i beneficiari dell’accordo, che prevede inoltre agevolazioni particolari per gli spostamenti del “business travel” della Federcalcio.
In base ai dati medi per anno rilevati dalla FIGC negli ultimi anni, le 23 Nazionali italiane di calcio viaggiano con circa 25 voli charter dedicati a/r verso le sedi di gara, soprattutto in Italia e in Europa, con a bordo circa 2800 tra Calciatori, Staff tecnici, Media e Partner. A questi numeri si aggiungono oltre 13.000 viaggiatori individuali considerando sia le Squadre Nazionali che usano voli di linea, sia il personale FIGC e gli Arbitri che si spostano per i rispettivi impegni.
Nel complesso, quindi, in base all’accordo ufficializzato oggi, ITA Airways trasporterà per i prossimi 2 anni (2023- 2024) oltre 30.000 viaggiatori considerando tutte le diverse tipologie di utente FIGC, tra Calciatori e Staff tecnici delle Nazionali, Arbitri, Media inviati al seguito delle Nazionali e ospiti dei Partner FIGC.

ITA Airways and Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (Italian Football Federation) Join forces to make the Italian National Teams fly high
Today ITA Airways launched the agreement with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) during a press conference held at the FIGC Federal Technical Centre in Coverciano.
Fabio Lazzerini CEO of ITA Airways and Gabriele Gravina, President of the FIGC, illustrated to the press the initiatives included in the important agreement between ITA Airways and the FIGC from today until December 31, 2024. The coach of the Italian national team, Roberto Mancini was also attending the press conference.
At the very core of the collaboration between ITA Airways and the FIGC there is the common desire to develop and promote Italian sport in the world. For this reason, ITA Airways will be the official carrier of the Italian national football teams, taking care of their flights during a two-year time frame.
According to the agreement, all the National Teams, men’s, women’s, youth, futsal, beach soccer and esport will be flying on ITA Airways aircraft to reach the venues of the international competitions in which the Azzurri Teams will take part. In addition to them, the Italian Referees Association, the Technical Sector and the Youth and Scholastic Sector will also be among the beneficiaries of the agreement, which also provides special facilities for Federcalcio’s “business travel”.
According to the average data per year recorded by the FIGC in recent years, the 23 Italian national football teams fly on approximately 25 dedicated charters to/from the competition venues, mainly in Italy and Europe. These flights host around 2,800 passengers, including players, technical staff, media and partners.
In addition, there are over 13,000 individual travellers considering both the National Teams using commercial flights and referees travelling for their respective engagements.
According to the agreement officially finalized today, ITA Airways will transport over 30,000 travellers in the next 2 years (2023- 2024), including all the different FIGC users: national team players, technical staff, referees, media and guests of FIGC partners.
